Susan Anton is one of the world's most versatile performers;
well-known to television, theater, film and nightclub audiences
internationally.
Susan Anton has been seen as a guest-star on "Quantum Leap",
"The Famous Teddy Z", "Night Court", "Murder She Wrote" and
"Out of this World."
Susan Anton also recently completed her first solo headlining
cabaret engagement in New York as well as a headIining engagement
at Caesar's Palace in Atlantic City and an engagement at Harrah's
Hotel in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Susan Anton has an album that
was produced under the direction of Maurice White of "Earth,
Wind and Fire".
In the last few years, Susan Anton has been active on the
theater scene. She completed a six month engagement on Broadway
in David Rabe's Tony-nominated play, "Hurleyburley," directed
by Mike Nichols. In a role originated by Sigourney Weaver
and later taken over by Candice Bergen, Susan Anton made her
Broadway debut with a strong ensemble cast that, throughout
the six months, included Frank Langella, Danny Aielio, John
Rubinstein, Ron Silver and Jerry Stiller.
Susan Anton performed an engagement at the Tiffany Theater
in Los Angeles, starring in John Patrick Shanley's play, "Woman
of Manhattan".
Susan Anton made her legitimate stage debut in 1982, on
the summer theater circuit, starring in the John Kenley/Lee
Guber presentation of the Neil Simon/Marvin Hamlisch musical,
"They're Playing Our Song".
Susan Anton first emerged on the entertainment scene in
the film, "Goldengirl" and she subsequently appeared in the
films, "Spring Fever" (about the world of amateur tennis)
and in Burt Reynolds' "Cannonball Run II". Internationally,
Susan Anton is recognized as a top recording artist. Susan
Anton hit Top Ten of the Country Charts with her very first
single, "Killin' Time" and was awarded a Gold Record in Japan
for "Foxy".
On television, Susan Anton has enjoyed four NBC-TV Specials
of her own entitled, "Presenting Susan Anton", and a series
(also for NBC) called, "Cliffhangers", as well as guest appearances
on specials hosted by Bob Hope and David Copperfield. Susan
Anton has also been a familiar face in many national television
commercials.
Susan Anton recently completed a series of nutrition and
fitness programs for Goodtimes Home Video Corporation entitled,
"SIimatics".
A California native, Susan Anton often takes time from her
busy performing schedule to devote to a number of national
charitable and human welfare organizations like AMFAR and
OXFAM. In addition to this work, Susan Anton is also the Honorary
Chairperson of the California Special Olympics, and is the
Honary Captain of the United States Women's Olympic Volleyball
team.
